I'm ordering Lithuanian Christmas foods today from Valgiai.com... first of course Šakotis the wonderful cake shaped like a Christmas tree, then poppy seed cookies, and other goodies. Check them out at www.valgiai.com.

I've ordered some great foods from this Chicago-based site including my favorite Vilnius dark rye bread, and a couple canned foods only Lithuanians can dream up (like pickled substances of all kinds)!

I still can't get used to gira (also known as kvass) which is something like soda derived from bread, so instead I'll get the cranberry kissel (spanguolių kisielius). Kissel is often part of Kūčios (Christmas Eve dinner), so this will be a perfect package.
