This month it is a year since my visit to Lithuania. It is a awsome place to visit! We saw so much and enjoyed every minute of our time there.
I was so fortunate to locate relatives in a very remote village. I had some information about my grandmother's place of birth but I only expected to take a few pictures of the area. When we got close to our destination, our driver talked to a man who knew the family name and where some of them still lived. We went to the farm and found cousins! We were so lucky that their son spoke English and was able to translate for us. We had a wonderful visit and now we are exchanging emails and pictures.
I am doing the same with some other people that we met and spent time with over there. Google Translate has been a lifesaver since I can send emails in Lithuanian (they probably laugh) and I do the same when I read what they say in translated English. It has been such an eye opening experience and great fun!
I got a chuckle out of the video showing the Mayor of Vilnius addressing the parking problem in the city. I remember seeing the chaos of cars blocking entire streets like in a standoff or something. Parking is a problem there for sure. We used our legs or the bus, works great!

There is a very good online site to learn basic Lithuanian. It's done by a young woman named Kristina. Below is a link you can click on to check it out. She has many lessons that you may find helpful.
