Hello, I just got back from Vilnius and it was great. There are many interesting events still going on through the Vilnius European Capital of Culture 2009, and I still think this is the best year to go there. I was able to get there quite well via Prague. Even though there is a financial crisis, I suggest you go there!

Still less touristy than Prague, Paris or London. The food was superb, the old town so nicely renovated with renovations still going on. In spite of "crisis".

If you go anywhere this year, you MUST go see Vilnius-- get the best out of your tourist dollars, and help out the economy of this amazing county.
