I've been working on some Lithanian lessons to study. In the class I'm taking we've been using

Beginner's Lithuanian. I used the material in it to create some audio lessons. So far I've written 40

scripts and recorded 28 of them. I hope to finish all 40 soon.

If you want to see and hear them you can go to my website

http://www.joelmosher.com/LT

The lessons are free and you can do what ever you want with them.

Well done Joel! A great contribution to those wanting to learn.

We recorded more  lessons recently. Now we have 35. We hope to finish up before school starts.

Hi Joel, OK this is great. Now, to get to the lessons, do we download the zip package then listen? I think for those who are not computer literate, you could post those as separate links that launch when you click an icon. If you need help setting that up, I can guide you with the HTML part.

Thanks for doing these and say Hi to my drauge Ausra, she's very sweet.

Marina

under the picture of Ausra there are instructions. If you click on lesson01.mp3, your media player should start playing the file.

If you click on lesson01.txt, you should see the text. I recommend having 2 windows open, start playing the mp3 file in one then

switch to the other window and follow along on the script

Ausra should be back from LT by now. I haven't seen her.

Ah, I see this now, great! Thanks again.

Marina

Aldona and I recorded lessons 36 and 37 yesterday. I spent all day editing lesson 36. Sometimes my translations leave a lot to be desired and Aldona has to fix them up. Both lessons are about a half hour long. I put 36 on my website and I hope to finish 37 tomorrow. I have a date with Aldona for September 7 to record some more. If we don't finish then, we'll stay after class and record what is left. Class starts September 10. I can't wait.

So good of you to get together with others including Aldona. Good luch and hope you have a blast doing this.

I finished today. All 40 lessons are now available. We plan to rerecord lessons 6 - 10. The sound wasn't as good as it could have  been. We'll do it next month.
Very cool Joel! What a great project. I'll get started polishing up my skills with your lessons soon. Are you on Skype? We should have a group chat and practice!

Oops this is Marina, I'm using the Admin login today.

I don't do skype. Good luck with the lessons. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I will probably be making little changes to the lessons over time. Yesterday I re-edited lesson 28 because I didn't like the sound. Each week or so my class studies one lesson so I listen to that one everyday. When I notice things I don't like, I fix them. One of the men in my class thought I needed longer pauses for the student to repeat the phase, so I'm inserting longer pauses where they are needed.
