Thank you for the info ! i will see this documentary and will comment after words ! my uncle paulaus jasiukonis was a well regarded independent film producer here in hollywood I'm sure he must have done some work on this as well. He mentioned it to me once ! although during his recent passing all his life's work was donated to vilnius university just recently ! take care... +

Labas Antanas! While the movie Defiance is actually about the Bielski brothers keeping a large Jewish community alive in the Belarus forests, my intention was to show how similar it is to the Lithuanian Forest Brother's story. It's interesting that the Hollywood team came to the forests of Lithuania, and gave some excitement and work to Lithuanians! I truly hope some day there will be a big movie about the Lithuanians as well. We have a member here in our "I Love Lithuania" community whose father was involved in the Partisans, so I'm hoping her work will help create something soon. Take care you too!
